When you think you’ve hit that wall in this crazy hectic world of journalism, there’s the kneeland project. I can’t tell you how refreshing it was to attend and learn from and with some of the best in the business. it;s a chance to disconnect and soak in journalism . I went back to my newsroom invigorated and inspired and the impact has been immeasurable. The chance to hear from leaders in progressive thought is unbelievably valuable. Reading conference calls and other groups are good. But personal interaction with a group of real peers helps uncover questions you don’t even think about in your daily grind. We all have a lot of the same issues no matter the region, market size or history. Thinking at 30,000 feet is key to coaching success.
